Songwriting and the Humanitarian, environmental agenda.
We are entering a new phase in human history. Perhaps mankind has always felt it to be so but now more than ever the sizemic pressures humanity faces are such that it is like humanity is in a pressure cooker with a timer ticking away. Never before have there been so many of us on this beautiful fragile earth, never before have we faced a climate crisis so grave that extinctions could happen in the blink of an eye ( following a unvierse based clock). Also, we have reached a point in human economic history where the cracks of capitalism and the free market economy result in a global pandemic of poverty: the difference between rich and poor across the world is now immense. Add to this a raging pandemic and we have a perfect storm, and, not just a storm in a teacup.

Rural regeneration, women and music after the Covid Pandemic
Humanity is social by its very nature; we thrive because we connect, and communicate. This is central to our very beings. Relationships and connections of all kind bring us alive. This need can bring about positive change in a world that is rapidly changing and adapting. Music alongside food/eating out is one of those timeless activities that humans will always do. It is simply an expression of life, togetherness, emotion and connection.

Transformative Trajectory - Possible new horizon for women in the music industry.
There are many societal viewpoints, processes and systemic structures that mean it is not easy for women to own their sovereignty in music. For women to get to this point it is important to ask the question “ What would need to be true, to allow this to be?”

Beauty and Usefulness - ways of "seeing" that may help us right now.
Right now many of our lives are rocked by the global challenges Covid has brought to the world, we need a little hope and inspiration in our lives that might otherwise feel as if they are going into freefall. This famous quote keeps coming to mind: “If you want a golden rule that will fit everything, this is it: Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” This was written a long time ago by William Morris who was the father of the arts and crafts movement.I am going to substitute “houses” for “ life “ and the quote works just as well and is perhaps even more pertinent and thought provoking.
