Equal Mediocrity
Having rewatched the Legend of Korra final recently, the thing that probably bothers me most is the constant complaint that the Korrasami relationship and in turn, ending shouldn’t have happened because it was rushed. Not because the relationship wasn’t rushed—it certainly was, especially when compared to relationships in The Last Air Bender—but because so much of the show was rushed, including many heterosexual relationships, and yet this relationship seems to be the only thing that catches fire for the show wide issue.

My KH3 Wish
You know what I really want in Kingdom Hearts 3? I want the girls looking out for each other. I want the first words on a restored Namine’s lips to be of Xion. Of the girl who had been forced into a terribly unfair decision, and faced it with such strength and goodness. I don’t want her shy and thankful and docile, as always. I want her determined and unwavering as she restores the memories of the girl who didn’t deserve to be forgotten. I want her coming back furious, raging against the unfairness of it all.

In Defense Of Minor Characters
We have seen what’s on the road. We’ve seen the drug hazed, beautiful rot that followed a generation of lost boys, straight out of Peter Pan, as they searched a postwar concealer-soaked country for an example–or even just an explanation–of masculinity and what it means to be a man. We’ve seen this trauma, but it would be foolish and a tad bit pig-headed to think that the trauma of the lost boys was the only one out there. Minor Characters is not only important, but it’s essential, because it shows us the generation of lost girls. The girls under glass and in the bell jar.

Barista Says He's Not Afraid of Starbucks
With Wittenberg University getting a second Starbucks location inside Thomas library, it’s set in stone that Springfield will have at least four of the coffee shops in town by this time next year. While this news may be exciting to fans of the company—especially to those college students who couldn’t get their Starbucks fix while away at school—it could mean death for small, local shops in the area.

What Stands Between: Let the Right One in Movie Review
“Squeal pig, squeal.” This sentence is the sneered mocking of Oskar’s bullies, as well as the first line of dialog we hear from him within the film, as he stands outside, stabbing a tree and imagining taking revenge on his tormenters. This line is especially shocking, and telling, coming from the small boy. With pale skin, light blonde hair, and large eyes, Oskar would typically be what we as a viewer were shown as a shining example of uncorrupted innocence. Yet here, we see a child whose violent tendencies are taking him down a very dark and dangerous road.

Bringing Your Character to Life
Perhaps the most intimidating part of any D&D session is getting into character and actually roleplaying. This is especially true for beginners. There's no cheat sheet or instruction manual for how to feel comfortable interacting in character, and this uncertainty can lead to the closest group of friends awkwardly moving from fight to fight, while the DM pulls their hair out trying to get you to engage with the world they've made.

Take the Shovel Back, I’m Not Burying Her: An Open Letter to Dontnod EntertainmentTop Story - September 2017
Dear Dontnod, I’m really tired of seeing dead lesbians in media. When I say this, I don’t mean that I’m sad about the creative choices that have happened in recent media, or even that I’m heartbroken by the fact that "dead lesbians" is still a very common trope within modern media. No. When I say I’m tired of seeing dead lesbians in media, I mean that I’ve given up hope. That the surge of joy I once felt on the rare occasion that I saw my sexuality represented in a healthy way is quickly snuffed out by anxiety as I have to sit and debate if I even want to continue consuming this piece of media until I can be absolutely sure that said character won’t meet a grisly end.
