Understanding Women's Astrology Signs

Hello, ladies! Ever wonder what it means when someone asks you your zodiac sign, or what your horoscope is, and this conversation goes like this:

"What's your horoscope sign?"

"I'm a Virgo."

"Ohhhhhhh...that makes sense!"

And you've sat there wondering, "What does that mean?"

All the astrological signs are in alliance with constellations; originally, astrologers saw the world as consisting of Elements (similar to how we perceive seasons): Fire, Air, Water, and Earth. All signs fall under one of these Elements unless you are a Cusp, but the Elements represent different character traits which hold some truth for everyone. They also exist in States, where astrologers consider the actual properties of, let's say, for example, Fire and a similarity to one of the four Fire astrological signs. I'll explain each sign briefly, but will write more articles per individual sign and I am more than willing to take requests. So how do Elements and States define us? How does it affect comparability when you research friends or romantic relationships? Read below and find out...

Fire Signs: Sagittarius, Leo, Aries

Fire signs. These ladies are known to be passionate, imaginative, self-assured, self-sufficient, selfish, forceful, inspirational, temperamental, courageous, creative, bossy, combustible, sexy, and charming.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): The third fire sign in the zodiac wheel, they are also the ninth sign. Sags like to explore and have the first-hand experiences with anything, which helps them discover their individual purposes in this lifetime. Sagittarius women seek the truth (subjective) and are not afraid to be blunt when it comes to their beliefs. These signs are adventurers, open-minded, interested in deep philosophies, desire freedom, enthusiastic, live at a fast pace, and enjoy stepping over boundaries and pushing limits.

Leo (Jul. 23 – Aug. 22): The second fire sign in the zodiac wheel, they are also the fifth sign. Daughters of the sun are often are stuck with the stereotype that they like to be on the "center of the stage," in the middle of the spotlight; the stereotype is true. Lions are strong, and they draw from their internal confidence to keep changing on and to inspire others. As the sign of Leo is ruled by the Sun, Leo girls have the tendency to believe that they are connected to everyone and everything and have the desire to want to please people and make sure their universe and everyone it in is happy. These signs are idealistic, romantic, self-confident, leaders, fearless, strong, proud, and vain.

Aries (Mar. 21 – Apr. 19): The first fire sign and the first sign of the zodiac wheel. Aries are innovators and somehow are able to make the impossible become reality; not only are they good leaders but they are also, what I call, the most magnetizing fire sign. Although they are known to be impulsive, Aries ladies are endlessly brave people and always have the energy to complete the tasks they set out before them. These signs can be arrogant and somewhat egotistic, but they are dynamic, super playful, hard workers, quick to make decisions, and are winners.

Water Signs: Pisces, Cancer Scorpio

Water sign girls are known to be sensitive, nurturing, romantic, suffocating, intuitive, emotional, dreamers, compassionate, mysterious, moody, empathetic, self-indulgent, and refreshing.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – Mar. 20): Pisces is the third water sign on the zodiac wheel and the twelfth sign as well. Women born under the sign of Pisces are very much focused on discovering themselves and their inner journeys. They also have a hard time accepting the reality of this world and at times prefer to see reality through an illusionary lens to either better understand or cope with life. Pisces can either be in reality or not, which makes them sometimes hard to contact, or even relate to because it's almost as if they are living on two separate dimensions, but they are always able to be there for others and enjoy putting their needs before their own. Pisces girls are charitable, caring, can be rather shy, pulled by their emotions, unpredictable, lazy, intuitive, and swim from discomfort.

Cancer (Jun. 21 – Jul. 22): Cancer ladies are the first water sign on the zodiac wheel and the fourth sign. Cancers are known for having a very nurturing and maternal nature to them. Not only that, they will invite you into your home and consider you family, finding a perfect and exclusive spot for you in their heart and you will never be forgotten. Daughters of this water sign can be hurt easily and will then take time to hide away and heal themselves but will eventually return to their friends and family and will continue on being their strong-willed and happy selves. Cancers are protectors, love being apart of or creating a community, stay away from angry confrontations, possessive, overly sensitive, emotionally manipulative and hold much self-respect.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): Scorpios are the second water sign and the eighth sign on the zodiac wheel. Girls born under the sign of Scorpio are intense, to say the least, and always need to understand others': motives, thoughts, lies, truths, and life story in order to truly understand them and keep themselves in a place of power in order to protect themselves. As I call them, Scorpios are the most magnetizing water sign; they are secretive, penetrating and powerful. Scorpio women love deeply and can be vindictive beyond belief; they will be your best friend or will destroy you. These signs are lustful, competitive, self-indulgent, clever, emotionally repressed, fearless, aware, and see the world in black and white.

Earth Signs: Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo

Earth sign women are known to be conservative, responsible, quiet, stable, stubborn, sensual, grounded, practical, desirable, reliable, loyal, materialistic, innovative, and logical.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan 19): Capricorns are the third earth sign and the tenth sign on the zodiac wheel. Capricorn ladies are so determined, so businesslike, realistic, and dedicated to their goals that "hard work" is not enough to describe their personal and work ethic. These signs like to be on top and will demonstrate that they can be by demonstrating their responsibility, traditionality, maturity, friendly demeanor, and willingness to put in long hours to be on top. Capricorns are cautious, devoted to friends and family and loved ones, sometimes reserved and to themselves, successful, happy individuals, well-known socially, diligent, and egotistical.

Taurus (Apr. 20 – May 20): Taurus is the first earth sign and second sign of the zodiac wheel. These individuals are comfort and luxury lovers with a flip slide of being practical and goal achievers. They are tender sensual beings who enjoy the finer things in life and will bring anyone into there life into their grand lifestyle. Harmonious, romantic, stubborn, beautiful, and sentimental, as I call them, Taurus women are the most magnetizing earth sign of the zodiac. These signs are loyal, dependable, patient, have a huge temper, argumentative, charming, strong (both mentally and physically, and love the outdoors.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): Virgos are the second earth sign and the sixth sign on the zodiac wheel. These girls are known for being overly critical and picky, and though the stereotype is true, they are amazing servers. They truly enjoy pleasing others, providing a home for them, and make it their duty to give others a sense of home while in a Virgo girl's presence. These signs are modest, full of mental energy, great communicators, perfectionist, self-centered, nervous and sometimes shy, physically active, and pay attention to all the details.

Air Signs: Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius

Air sign ladies are known to be are masters of the mind, idealistic, intellectual, wise, communicative, cool, analyzers, calm, fair, perceptive, curious, alert, clever, and humorous.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun, 20): The twins are the first air sign and the third sign of the zodiac wheel. Daughters of this air sign are known for being some of the best conversationalists the zodiac because their minds are able to jump from any topic and keep up with the conversation no matter which path it takes, and are also, as I call, the most magnetizing air sign in the zodiac wheel. Girls born under the sign of Gemini are interested in developing relationships with others, theories, and also developing themselves more than anything else. Geminis are fun, very moody, have an amazing sense of wit, effusive, team-players, have light spirits, enjoy road trips, and are brilliant literary scholars.

Libra (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): Libra is the second air sign and the seventh sign of the zodiac sign. Women born under this air sign and are known for the keen ideas of balance and try to bring harmony to every person, situation, and social group they come upon. Libras love the arts such as musical theatre, dancing, and can be known to be great singers; they also mostly remain and think in their high minds and enjoy understand others. These ladies are very peaceful, full of energy, love exercising, persuasive, diplomatic, art, seductive, and extremely sociable.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): As the last air sign and eleventh sign in the zodiac wheel, Aquarian women are humanitarians and enjoy involving themselves in social movements in order to better the world for the rest of us. Ladies born under this sign are very progressive, quick thinkers, and enjoy their sense of freedom and have a constant need to explore the world. People born under this sign are known to be jealous and impatient, but overall, Aquarians are sympathetic, radical, revolutionaries, logical yet complex, inventive, collaborative, and opinionated.

Mutable Signs: Women Who List for Rejuvenation and Diversity

The Mutable signs of the zodiac are Virgo (Earth), Sagittarius (Fire), Pisces (Water), and Gemini (Air). These four girls will embrace changes, they will go with the flow of life, conversations, group plans, and enjoy the ride along the way. These ladies are extremely resourceful, flexible, open-minded, and very versatile. However, they can be erratic, deceitful and "wishy-washy."

Cardinal Signs: Girls Who Are Ambitious and Designers

The Cardinal signs of the zodiac are Libra (Air), Aries (Fire), Cancer (Water), and Capricorn (Earth). These ladies like to lead people, movements, and start revolutions. These women are known for being dominant, independent, winners but have also been known to be selfish, egocentric, and dubious.

Fixed Signs: Ladies Who Are Balanced and Formulate

The Fixed signs of the zodiac are Taurus (Earth), Aquarius (Air) Scorpio (Water), and Leo (Fire). These women are architects of foundations and keep it consistent with their sharp mind and instincts of balance. These girls are typically harmonious, permanent, persistent, strong-willing, bold, self-reliant but are known for also being possessive, narrow-minded, and inflexible.
