Unbreakable Bond
Delilah knelt on the saturated ground in front of the weathering stone. She wanted to trace the engraved name with her fingertips, but each letter would only be a reminder of our disintegrating memories. Us walking along the darkened road, careless about how far we were going. The headlights flashing in front of our eyes as a white Bentley drew to a slow crawl beside our barely visible frames. Stopping, window rolling down, a face in shadow. He must have known that the car would catch our attention. It put us at ease; not like the dodgy, rundown cars that you see in films. We were caught up in a moment of rebellion and we felt invincible.

Guilty, Not Guilty (Part 1)
I’ve never forgotten her; it’s been eight years now. She must have changed, aged, perhaps even wrinkled. I can only remember the youthfulness of her face; the dimple on her right cheek when she smiled and her cat-like winged eyeliner. A woman that I declared was ‘the one.’

Ways to Become Less Stressed
Stress is a natural emotion, and yet it is so unnecessary. Everyone experiences it, whether it be with work or relationships, but it has no purpose. It takes over our minds on a daily basis like a rash; however, like all emotions, it is something that we can learn to control.

A Silhouette's Deception
He emerged from the obscurity of the alleyway, an unlit cigarette hanging out of his mouth. Freddie had never been one for smoking. He always found himself coughing too much, but he liked the way it looked. Lifting his head up, he saw that the moon was crescent shaped. It was his favourite moon because of its dagger-like features.

A Fictional Reality
Dreams. Fictional realities. Created from my own imagination, built from past memories. Newfound experiences that I would wake up remembering and puzzling over. They could be good, bad, funny. Even sadistic. I try not to remember the dark ones. Yet, they are the ones that I remember the most. The ones that leave you in a transient state of anxiety when you wake up. That feeling of dread when you can’t figure out whether it is real or not. It’s strange how our brains seem to reminisce our darkest memories as if they are the more powerful. Good conquers evil. That’s the way it’s supposed to be. I still can’t decide whether what happened to me was good or bad. If anything the confusion was what overwhelmed me. It begged me to ask the question: Am I normal?

Focusing on Positivity
No matter how hard life gets, or how deeply you fall into darkness, you must remember to stay positive. When it feels like you’re all alone and you’re the only one that can understand yourself remember that you’re still living and breathing. Remember how lucky you are to have been given a chance at life. There are people that don’t get to live past birth. There are people that never reach it to their teenage years or to adulthood. There are people that would give anything to have the life you are living right now, and you may wonder why. If you think your life is bad, why would someone else appreciate it? It’s because there are those that only focus on the positives, even if the negatives outweigh them. Life is filled with positivity. Life itself is positive. Our very existence is a miracle. It’s something we should be taking full advantage of. We’ve been born into a world that we can learn from and evolve. Our possibilities are endless. We can be anyone and we can do anything. This is what should inspire us and make us feel positive.

Accepting Change
Change is the shadow that lingers in the corner of every room, but it is also the light that shines through your window of opportunity. Change may seem scary or unwanted, but it is going to happen. But an inevitable change is something we shouldn’t fear, like getting older. It happens to everyone and there isn’t anything we can do to stop it, so why not embrace it? Throughout life we go through various changes, both physically and mentally, and some changes, even some of the worst ones, can be the most rewarding of all. You may lose your job but then find one that suits you even better. You could move to a new country or meet a new partner after going through the breakup of a failed relationship. These are all things you shouldn’t be afraid of. You should want them to happen. Yes, you may be content with the life you have now but you are never going to have new experiences if you don’t allow them to happen. You need to take risks and see change as something positive.

Why the Education System Is Bullsh*t
Life is all about learning. Every single day, no matter how old we are, we learn something new; it’s how the world works. Our minds are capable of the most incredible things, things that we haven’t even begun to discover yet. So why should we invest our minds, time, and money into the education system when our own life experiences can teach us the biggest lessons of all? Our modern-day education system and what we are teaching kids is all bullsh*t and here’s why.

The Words You Need to Hear
You shouldn’t be wasting your life right now, no matter how old you are. Time is not on your side and it won’t slow down to allow you to do the things you want to do. It’s you that makes the choices; Only you can set the course of your future, and it’s your decision on how you spend the time that is given to you in this life. This one life. This one chance to make it count.
