A Non-Feminist in a Feminist World

I Call Bullshit...

Whilst doing my regular rounds on YouTube and looking at the arguments represented by both parties in the non-feminist and feminist community, I decided I wanted to write something that will explain what it's like for a woman to not be a feminist in the feminist world.

Now to start off, I am not a feminist. Yes, you may get the general lingo represented by all feminists "So you don't believe in the equality of the sexes?" Yes, Barbra, I do, but that's not what feminism is about anymore. It has become a field for women to conjure up torturous ideologies that they supposedly " have to live in." Well, I'm calling bullshit on this one Barbra, let's talk about how us women "have it hard" when compared to men.

Is there such a thing as a wage gap? I think not! But arguing for this theory that women get paid less than men is a quoted from theodysseyonline.com:

"Women are still typically paid less than men for completing the same work. Young girls are still forced into arranged marriages with men who are old enough to be their fathers. Or grandfathers. Women are still widely expected to look, act, or think in certain ways, simply because they are women.

So yes, we still need feminism. "

Where are your statistics, Melanie? Because according to The Office for National Statistics the results show quite a different statement to which you are referring to, in actual fact part-time workers, of which are women, get paid more. I am not supposed to argue because I am a woman and I am showing my privilege.

"For part-time employees separately, women are paid more on average, resulting in a “negative” gender pay gap. Although the part-time gender pay gap has decreased from minus 6.8% in April 2015 to minus 6.0% in April 2016, there is evidence that the part-time gender pay gap has widened in the long-term."

Oh, look, statistics. So, in this case, men actually have it harder and when they are forced to receive less than what their counterpart sex is receiving. There is obviously going to be a backlash from the men, oh wait! There is but we don't see their views as we are constantly bombarded by the idiocies of feminist activist groups. If I brought this up in front of feminists I would probably be removed from existence, just like Lauren Southern when they tried to remove her from her party.

I ask you feminists reading this, why, if you believe in the equality of the sexes, are you not doing anything about this? Why are you allowing the history of our sex take over from what is important today? I have a perfect thing in which you can focus your effort on, the wage gap between the ages. When I worked as a waitress I was earning £6.70 p/h, now that isn't bad considering I was a student and I didn't have to pay tax, but there were people in my age group (18-25 years old) that were not students and obviously had to pay tax. The people in the age group above ours (25-30+) were paid £7.20 per/hour for the same work, is that fair? No? So do something about that instead.

Equality of the sexes.....Equality of the sexes seems a bit far for women who believe men don't deserve to see their children nor have the right to care for them. According to the Telegraph, men have a significantly lower chance of being in the child's' life where the family court favors the mother. A very shocking and upsetting quote from them states:

"According to the report, in 96 per cent of cases, the parents who apply to court for “access” to their children are men, with the average case taking between six months and two years to complete. In just under half of these cases, dads will win the right to have their children stay with them overnight, with the most common arrangement being every other weekend. Just under a quarter will be restricted to seeing their children in the daytime and the remaining quarter will be given little or no opportunity to be the daddy." (The report is in reference to a study done by general surveys.)

My biggest issue with this is the children(s) state of mind. Do you not acknowledge that the children are suffering through this? I find it appalling that fathers are not allowed to see their own children, it breaks my heart. It is a personal issue but this is currently going on in my life, a family member is at war with their spouse for no reason and restricts the access he has to his son. It is an awful thing to put onto a man who is trying his best to get access, but in the end, the statistics don't lie. If I was a feminist, this is what I would focus my efforts on, but no, men are seen as the patriarchy.

Rape culture? Who came up with this bullshit. What even is rape culture? is it a cult of rapists? or is our culture all rapists? or are rapists acceptable in culture?

According to Google rape culture can be defined as; a society or environment whose prevailing social attitudes have the effect of normalizing or trivializing sexual assault and abuse.

I understand now, it's people going out and raping people and/or sexually assaulting them then laughing about it afterward right? I never hear stories like this. This is not the environment I live in, I live in a land of jokes about people who think rape culture is saying "Humongous."  Now I am not saying rape is not a problem, of course it is, but we all have this fantasy that "rape culture" is saying something that is actually funny like "You need to lay off the cakes" or opening a door for someone or even saying " You look beautiful today," oh but that's offensive, but as our Lord and Saviour Milo Yiannopoulis puts it, "Fuck your feelings."  (My life quote). But that's not the information I want to put forward.

Feminists have this belief that Rape Culture is solely aimed at women, Google has stated that its society, but feminist believe it to be this quote that defines rape culture from feminist Emilie Buchwald, author of Transforming a Rape Culture, as:

"A complex set of beliefs that encourage male sexual aggression and supports violence against women. It is a society where violence is seen as sexy and sexuality as violent. In a rape culture, women perceive a continuum of threatened violence that ranges from sexual remarks to sexual touching to rape itself. "

Words that stick out to me, Male Sexual Aggression and supports violence against women, Google didn't say this, this is total garbage, do they not even realize men get raped too? As stated in Rapecrisis.org.uk "Approximately 85,000 women and 12,000 men are raped in England and Wales alone every year" This is approximate, they do not have enough information to create an exact statistic of rapes, which means that many of these go unreported. How many do you think are unreported by men? There is a statistic by the Telegraph that states "96 percent of male sexual assault goes unreported". That is a huge number which, if I do my maths correctly, that 288,000 men are raped in England and Wales every year but do not report it. When I made this calculation it almost brought me to tears. Do men really feel that they cannot report this? It's because they have nowhere to turn to. A quote taken from the Telegraph shows us how hard it is for men to get help for these issues “We have 40 people in our service and we cannot let any more in until others leave. In the last month, we’ve had 18 referrals. That’s growing every day. Yet we have to reject them. It’s heartbreaking.”

Do you still think this is equality among the sexes? If so, why are you not doing anything about male rape in a so-called "rape culture?"

This is all the information I will share with you today, I feel disgusted and horrible about what these men have to go through. I have almost been brought to tears. This is why I don't want to be a feminist, I am shunned because I am not a feminist but I am female. I don't want to live in a world where men are treated as lesser, nor do I want women to feel that they have any superiority over men. We should be equal, not divergent.

Peace out.
